Let me tell you a little bit about myself…

As a teenager I struggled with depression after experiencing bereavement of a close family member, leading to relationship breakdowns and some poor life choices along the road.

I knew that something had to change within myself, so I started my journey towards becoming a counsellor. However, when a traumatic event triggered physical illness resulting in a disabling chronic health condition, completion of my counselling qualification was put in jeopardy. My achievement took a great deal of tenacity, constructive use of my anger, and incredible amounts of self-belief.

My own lived experience puts me is a special position to help others who suffer from a long-term illness, chronic pain or other disabling condition who are not feeling so positive about the place they find themselves in.

I have a first-class honours degree in counselling, hold an Enhanced DBS check, and am a member of the BACP. I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework which means that I endeavour to provide best practice for all my clients. I work with teenagers (11 to 18) and adults (18+).
